Heather came down this weekend to visit the missionaries. Actually to come to a football game but she did come a day early to spend some time with us! We went to Leatherbee's for ice cream for the Senior Couple's September birthdays. It was fun to introduce Heather to some of the couples that we work with on Temple Square. She is teaching me how to get started on this and hopefully I can remember how to do it so I can keep a journal for everyone to read. The experiences that we are having are tremendous. We meet so many people from all over the world. The one thing that I can say is that if it weren't for governments, people are usually all the same. We love family and home. People are terrific where ever they are from. Serving the Lord is a very special experience. I can truly say what all the missionaries in our families have said. "this is the best time of our life" We do miss family members and our grandchildren, but we do have an advantage being this close to home. They can come here and that is a great blessing.
